1938 (Jan) covers (2) carried by SS 'Anatolia' with Type VI cachet in black, one with 1937 Coronation cachet to South Africa with 1d postage due, other to England with 1½d charge mark and ½d and 1d dues affixed; 1938 (2 Feb) cover from Johannesburg with South Africa 1½d, forwarded by HMS 'Milford', with 'REPOSTED/JOHANNESBURG' backstamp, Type VI cachet in purple applied on arrival; and 1950 (Feb) cover to London with Type IX cachet carried by RMS 'Caronia', with South Africa Voortrekker 1½d tied by 'CAPE TOWN/KAPSTAD/PAQUEBOT' cds, also 'Caronia' picture postcard (5)
Taxed Mail: 1952-74 small group of covers, with 1952 to England with boxed 'T' marking obliterated and with South Africa ½d and 1d pairs affixed (uncancelled), 1953 Coronation FDC to New York with boxed 'T___(10)c', 1956 to England with ½d, 1d and 3d and boxed 'INSUFFICIENT POSTAGE' and 'T___(6d)c', 1960 to England with pair, and boxed 'INSUFFICIENT POSTAGE', and 1963, 1974(2) and 1975 covers to South Africa with boxed 'T'. Few small cover faults however a useful and scarce group (8)
