    1884-1900 \'Specimen\' £25 (damaged) and £100 (torn) handstamped twice in black and £50 manuscript in red, also £100 (2) both fiscally used with minor blemishes, and £10 Lilac optd \'Specimen\'

    Estimate: $20,000 Realised Price : $26,000

    1884-1900 Wmk V over Crown upright Perf 12½ £100 Aniline Crimson with margins all round, SG 285c, very fresh mint. The only other mint example with margins is in the Royal Collection. The rarest unused high value stamp of the British Empire, in truly remarkable condition

    1885-95 4d Lilac \'Error of colour\', SG 300b, few blunt perfs, normal for comparison
