Lot 446		Estimate: $400 Realised Price : $1,400 1955 Presentation Booklet 'With the Compliments of the Director-General Posts and Telegraphs' containing 18 leaves (bound with cord) with printed descriptions of each stamp issue from 1953 Young Farmers to 1955 S.A. Stamp Centenary, and each with stamps affixed, mostly in pairs. A similar booklet with slightly different contents sold in Sale 71 for AU$800
Lot 447		Estimate: $5,500 1958 8d Trans-Tasman Anniversary, a magnificent handpainted design by J.E. Lyle in blue on thick board (203mm x 295mm) similar to that adopted but with a different portrait of Charles Kingsford Smith, prepared for the New Zealand 6d issue. A superb item for either the Australian or New Zealand collector. Lyle was commissioned by the New Zealand Post Office to prepare the design, with the Australian Post Office adopting the same design for the joint issue. For this reason, the Australia Post archival collection contains no handpainted essays for this issue
Lot 448		Estimate: $400 1959-63 5d Blue QEII Definitive reconstructed booklet plate of 576 in two panes of 288 (each comprising six panels of 48 - A to F at left and G to L at right) mounted (hinged) on two large boards. The reconstruction has been assembled from 1963 NSW booklet editions, based on the sequence of booklets as supplied in packets to post offices. Very few such reconstructions exist (576)

Jones, Deputy Director-General of PMG's Department), both proofs with degrees of staining from sellotape mounting, and with original envelope which contained the proofs. Lot 455		Estimate: $350 Realised Price : $320 1964 2/5d Blue Wren presentation stamp in sunken mount as presented to dignitaries (the numerical identification on the reverse identifying the recipient is missing). The sunken frame is close to the design, however it is known from other proofs that a perforated issued stamp was used, and not an imperforate proof. Fine apart from a slight bend on the right side of the sunken frame. BW 419x, cat AU$750
