1955 Presentation Booklet 'With the Compliments of the Director-General Posts and Telegraphs' containing 18 leaves (bound with cord) with printed descriptions of each stamp issue from 1953 Young Farmers to 1955 S.A. Stamp Centenary, and each with stamps affixed, mostly in pairs. A similar booklet with slightly different contents sold in Sale 71 for AU$800

1958 8d Trans-Tasman Anniversary, a magnificent handpainted design by J.E. Lyle in blue on thick board (203mm x 295mm) similar to that adopted but with a different portrait of Charles Kingsford Smith, prepared for the New Zealand 6d issue. A superb item for either the Australian or New Zealand collector. Lyle was commissioned by the New Zealand Post Office to prepare the design, with the Australian Post Office adopting the same design for the joint issue. For this reason, the Australia Post archival collection contains no handpainted essays for this issue

The sunken frame is close to the design, however it is known from other proofs that a perforated issued stamp was used, and not an imperforate proof.
