    1930 (29 Feb) cover from Melbourne to Bristol involved in R.M.S. 'Comorin' fire at Colombo, handstamped 'DAMAGED BY FIRE/ON S.S. "COMORIN" ', fine strike applied lower left, Post Office explanatory label affixed to reverse and cancelled at Bristol. Condition consistent with coming in contact with water during fire-fighting (covers were dried on decks of vessel)

    1934 (26 Oct) registered to Geelong with blue and black label \'Princess Pier, Port Melbourne, Victoria\' Victoria Centenary label, light central filing crease. APM 290 cat AU$400

    Collection remainders of KGVI commemorative issue usages on cover, more interesting items include 2d NSW Sesqui with 6d Kooka (2) on 'HS' perfin cover, 6d AIF used with 1/- Lyrebird on 1940 cover to UK, and used with 6d Kooka (3) and 1/- Lyrebird (15) on Broadcast Licence card, mostly single usages demonstrating a wide variety of rates, some advertising covers, also 1937 1/6d Hermes (3) and 2/- Redrawn Kangaroo (2) on covers. Some small faults but condition generally good and some useful pickings (30 covers)

Mostly solo usages demonstrating a wide variety of rates, and including registered mail, censored mail, postcards, parcel fronts, advertising covers, with many interesting destinations. Condition generally good to fine, and an exceptional group (67 covers)

    Collection of usages of the 1941 surcharges, with 2½d on 2d (2), 3½d on 3d (2), 5½d on 5d (2); 1941 Definitive colour changes with 1d Red-brown (3), 1½d Green (2), 2d Mauve (2), 3d Brown (3); and 1942-44 New Designs 1d Purple-brown (2), 1½d Green (4), 2d Purple, 2½d Scarlet (9), 3½d Blue (9), 5½d Slate-blue (10).     1952-65 accumulation of commercial covers in binder, an attempt to collect one of each basic QEII pre-decimal stamp on cover, largely successful, but without any Navigators and several higher value commems also missing, condition variable but mostly good, and some useful pickings (119 covers)

    Thursday Island: 1957-64 unusual commercial group of covers comprising 1957-58 rates of 10d and 1/3½d to Port Kembla with 'THURSDAY ISLAND/2/QUEENSLAND' cds and 'PAQUEBOT' (in black or violet), and higher denomination airmail frankings to Brisbane of 2/8d, 3/2d and 4/2d, 'THURSDAY ISLAND/1/QLD-AUST' (2) or '3' cds, unusual (5)

    1959 (17 Nov) use of 1/7d registration envelope (opened three sides), uprated for rate increase, registered at Throsby Crescent, poor strikes of the cds, nevertheless a scarce item
