    1850 Sydney View Plate II 2d Lilac-Blue, four close to huge margins with portion of adjoining unit at base, showing variety 'No whip', SG 22e. 1980 BPA Certificate. [We have only before offered one normal example of this shade, which was thinned. The only other example recorded by us with this variety was the Burrus example in 1964]. A great rarity

    1854-59 Diadem 8d Dull Yellow-Orange, SG 98, four large margins with portion of adjoining unit at lower right, tied by concentric ovals to 1857 (17 Oct) cover (flap fault) addressed to 'The Duchess of Wurttemberg', used Sydney to Germany, adhesive folded over onto flap, Karlsruhe arrival datestamp and various other markings. Ex Baetgen
