1915 (26 Aug) cover sent from Rockcorry (Ireland) to Warrant Officer James Brown (Radio Section No. 559) on Nauru, endorsed 'Via Sydney' and with Yokohama (Japan) backstamp of 24.7.16 in violet. Brown arrived in Rabaul on 25 October 1915 and on 29 February 1916 was transferred to the Naval (Radio Telegraph) Branch and sent to Nauru. Mail to members of the Australian occupying force on Nauru is rare. Cover roughly opened, otherwise good  | ||
