1799 (2 Feb) entire written from H.M. Sloop "Trinkamaly" in Bombay Harbour addressed to Admiral John Duckworth, Captain of H.M.S. "Leviathan" at Plymouth Dock, Devon. Apparently carried by hand and put in the post in London (AU ?? 99 datestamp), rated '8' in black. The "Leviathan" took part on the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, and from 1916 until 1844 served as a convict hulk at Portsmouth housing convicts awaiting deportation to Botany Bay
