    Moreton Bay District: 6d (5, various printings) and 1/- Perforated Diadems used during the Provisional Period, with Brisbane void concentric ovals (2) or 'Q.L.' in concentric ovals cancels(3). A scarce group, the use of perforated stamps was small (5)

    Moreton Bay District: 1857 (7 Aug) envelope to Newcastle-on-Tyne U.K. with Imperf 6d Olive-grey Diadem cancelled Brisbane '95' ray type numeral. Brisbane, Sydney and arrival (DE 7 1857) backstamps, envelope with some soiling

    Moreton Bay District: 1857 (14 Dec) cover from Ipswich to Melbourne bearing Imperf 1d and 6d Diadems (both touched at top) tied by ray type '87' numerals. Reverse with Ipswich despatch and Sydney transit datestamp, and red "SHIP LETTER/FREE/G.P.O. VICTORIA" arrival (DE 22 1857) datestamp. Some ink marks on face, otherwise fine. Ex H. Gordon Kaye

    Moreton Bay District: 1858 (23 Mar) entire to Ipswich with Imperf 2d Deep Blue Diadem (just touched top left and right) tied by '95' ray type numeral of Brisbane, fine

    Moreton Bay District: 1860 (1 Jun) outer from Ipswich to Brisbane with 1d Diadem Imperf pair (good to large margins all round) cancelled light '87' in rays, reverse with despatch and arrival datestamps, very fine provisional period usage

    Moreton Bay District: 1860 (6 Aug) entire from Ipswich to Tenterfield (N.S.W.) with 2d Diadem Plate II Imperf bottom marginal vertical pair and single (both good margins all round) with indistinct rays cancel. Reverse with Ipswich despatch cds, Warwick and Maryland transits and Tenterfield arrival cds. Second line of address erased, and some toning on reverse

    Estimate: $1,200 Purchase Price : $1,049

    Moreton Bay District: 1860 (29 Aug) long cover (222 x 94mm) to Lyttleton, New Zealand with 6d Diadem Imperf (2, contrasting shades of Olive-grey and Greyish-brown, both large margins all round) tied by Brisbane concentric ovals duplex, and with Port Victoria arrival datestamp (SP 28 60) on face. Back flap torn and two vertical folds away from adhesives, however very rare, Palmer records only one other Moreton Bay District cover to New Zealand, from the same correspondence (a single rate franking)

    Moreton Bay District: 1860 (17 Sep) outer from Condamine to Brisbane with 1d Diadem Imperf strip of 4 (good margins all round except barely touched at lower left corner) tied by '151' in rays (mostly indistinct, but one quite readable, rated RRRRR by Freeman. Reverse with Condamine despatch cds and Dalby transit and Brisbane arrival datestamps. Fine appearance, a wonderful and very rare provisional cover
