    Postal Cards: 1903 pictorial postcards (132 x 92mm) showing collotype illustrations of a Kangaroo and Joey, a Group of Aboriginals, and a Camel Train, reverse with 'POST CARD' heading and with manuscript endorsement 'G03/3432' indicating origin from an official Post Office file. These cards probably represent a submission from a private post card manufacturer as samples for a series of pictorial postcards. Rare and ex Dr Leslie Abramovich (3)

    1911 composite essay by Samuel Reading for the 1d Fullface George V design used on postal stationery, comprising a handpainted frame in blue with vignette portrait of Abraham Lincoln taken from the 1905 U.S. 5c stamp (no suitable portrait of George V being available) on thin card (38mm x 83mm). The frame design is based on the 1902 U.S. 8c stamp a used copy of which was originally affixed above the essay (as shown in the BW catalogue illustration) but has now been removed. Some minor marks on card which do not detract from this exceptional and highly important Australian Commonwealth essay

    1911 1d Fullface King George V Die Proof in Blue on white wove paper (folded to size 65mm x 76mm), pulled by the engraver, Samuel Reading. Very fine and ex Abramovich. Only four proofs of this design are recorded, one being in the Australia Post Archival Collection, and this being the only one in blue. A very important postal stationery proof. BW P1(DP)1, cat AU$10000
