    1916 (3 Apr) cover (opened out) addressed to Sydney with '2 AUST LH BDE FIELD P O' skeleton cds, and with triangular 'PASSED BY CENSOR/crown/No. 3225' in red. This cover was sent just prior to the Brigade setting out for operations in the Sinai Peninsula

    1916 (13 Sep) and (20 Sep) covers addressed to Adelaide with '3RD LIGHT HORSE/A.I.F./FIELD POST OFFICE' cds (the second cover unusually in violet), and triangular 'PASSED BY CENSOR/crown/No. 3228' handstamp in violet. At this time the Brigade was engaged with the capture of Bir el Mazar (2)

    1916 (9 Nov) cover to Western Australia with 'FIELD POST OFFICE/LH2' skeleton cds, and triangular 'PASSED BY CENSOR/crown/No. 3221' in violet. The envelope contains a real photo postcard of the writer, Major E.A. Le Souef, Veterinary Officer, 2nd Light Horse Brigade. In August-September 1916 the Brigade had been on active service in the Sinai Peninsula, capturing the towns of Romani, Katia and Mazar. At the date of this cover they were resting at the Suez Canal
