General Sale No. 24 was the first to be held in our new premises in “The Hub” at Ultimo. We are confident that our new venue will prove popular and that holding sales in our rooms will further enhance the service we are able to provide to clients on sale day. This sale contained a diverse range of material, with many fine and unusual items. Highlights included a lovely Norfolk Island selection, Pitcairn Island featuring a 1957 QEII Essay and scarce postal history, Gilbert & Ellice Cocoanut Plantations local imperf pair on cover and a Samoa/USA combination cover. Australian Colonies included a 1896 Coolgardie Cycle Express cover and Australian Commonwealth featured coins and banknotes, Kangaroo imprints, postal history and an extensive range of booklets.
