Our final auction for 2004, following soon after our annual Rarities Sale, was one of our largest lot number sales to date. General collections and accumulations featured large sections of both World and Australia miscellaneous lots. A few Literature and Coin lots were followed by another fine offering of Australian Colonies, the highlight areas being Victoria and Western Australia. Australian Commonwealth featured large sections of Kangaroos and KGV heads; 1948-73 issues in sheets, including the Thin Paper £1 Robes; and substantial ranges of Booklets, Postage Dues and Postal History. Rest of the World included good sections of China, Germany, Great Britain and New Zealand & Dependencies; a range of world Booklets; and British Empire/Commonwealth covers estimated from $50 to $5000, with some outstanding exhibition quality items.
