1902-04 Base Completed Watermark Crown over NSW 5/- Dull Green Perf 12 x 11 irregular block of 54 cancelled 'PARCEL POST TOWNSVILLE/QUEENSLAND' cds affixed to sheet headed 'Townsville June 12th 1925' and endorsed 'Landing charges and Com Tax on 120 parcels £13-10-0'. One stamp defective and a few with small stains nevertheless an extraordinary and unique usage. A number of other (smaller) blocks used in Townsville in 1925-26 are known, and indicate the retention of stocks of this high value for over 20 years.
