    New South Wales: 1903 2/6 Lyrebird and 9d "Commonwealth" both overprinted 'SPECIMEN' in black and additionally handstamped 'ULTRAMAR' in violet. Very fine (2)

     

    Lot 2
    Estimate: $1,500

    Queensland: 1897-08 "figures in all corners" ½d, 1d, 2½d, 3d, 4d, 6d and 1/- handstamped 'ULTRAMAR' in blue; also 1903 9d "Commonwealth" handstamped 'ULTRAMAR' in violet. The 2½d missing a corner perf, otherwise fine (8)

    South Australia: 1898-99 ½d, 1d, 2d and 2½d all CTO and additionally handstamped 'ULTRAMAR' in blue. Very fine(4)

    Estimate: $3,000 Realised Price : $2,300

    South Australia: 1902-04 thin "POSTAGE" 3d to £1 all CTO at the GPO Adelaide and additionally handstamped 'ULTRAMAR' in blue. A beautiful set in very fine condition (11)

    Tasmania: 1899-1900 Pictorials overprinted 'Specimen', with the 1d, 2d and 2½d (damaged) additionally handstamped 'ULTRAMAR' in blue; also 9d sideface, 1/- tablet and 1½d on 5d surcharge each overprinted 'SPECIMEN' and additionally handstamped 'ULTRAMAR'. A lovely group (11)

    Victoria: 1900 1d and 2d Charity handstamped 'ULTRAMAR' in blue. Very fine (2)

    Victoria: 1901 1d olive CTO and handstamped 'ULTRAMAR' in blue; 1912 1d on 2d lilac CTO and handstamped 'COLONIAS' in violet. Very fine (2)

    Victoria: 1901 £1 carmine-rose perf 12½ CTO and additionally handstamped 'ULTRAMAR'. Some gum staining around the perfs, otherwise fine and rare

    Victoria: 1902 £2 deep blue perf 12½ CTO and additionally handstamped 'ULTRAMAR'. Unfortunately damaged at lower right, nevertheless a rare receiving authority Specimen

    Victoria: 1901-1/ Wmk V over Crown ½d to £2 punctured OS and CTO, each additionally handstamped 'ULTRAMAR'. The £1 perf 11, all other values perf 12 x 12½ or 12½. A stunning group (15)

    Western Australia: 1901 2½d blue unused and 1902-12 Wmk V over Crown 1d to £1 set (less 5d) CTO, all additionally handstamped 'ULTRAMAR' in blue; 1905-07 3d, 5d (unused), 6d and 1/- CTO and additionally handstamped 'ULTRAMAR' in violet. Some toning evident around the perfs on a few values, but generally very fine and attractive (16)
