    1841 1d Red-brown Imperf Plate 40 lettered 'HD' (good to large margins all around) tied by two strikes of No. '9' in Maltese Cross obliterator on 1844 (12 Jan) entire to Dunfermline, Scotland. Two vertical filing creases, otherwise very fine

    1841-57 line-engraved group comprising Imperf 1d Red-brown [AA] unused, four margins except just touching lower right, 1d Red-brown [GF] with neat '72' London numeral and 2d Blue [CF] (SG 8, 8a, 14); Perf 16 1d Red-brown [KF]? (SG 17); and Perf 14 2d Blue [TE], 1d Rose-red [FE], neat London N/17 numeral, and 1d Deep Rose [PC], neat '50' in diamond numeral (SG 34, 40, 41). Mostly fine and cat £847 (7)
