    Rouletted 7½-9: 2d grey-lilac, SG 47a, pair rouletted at left and at right and imperforate between. The only recorded example. Ex Forster, Perry

    Rouletted 6½-7½: 2d pale lilac, vertical pair rouletted at right, unusually large-margined superb. Ex Perry

    Rouletted 6½-7½: 2d grey-lilac pair from left margin of sheet, rouletted at base, cancelled by Barred Numeral \\\'94\\\' (St. Arnaud). Ex Harvey, Perry

     

    Lot 1376

    Compound roulette: 2d pale lilac pair showing unusual compound of the two contemporary rouletting devices, Raymond 7½-9 vertically and G.P.O. 6½-7½ at base, tied to 1858 (20 Apr) cover Melbourne to Geelong. The only recorded example of this compound. Ex Perry

    Serrated 18-19: 2d pale lilac, singles re-united to form what was originally a pair, cancelled at Melbourne. This shade is uncatalogued and derives from a different source to that catalogued (the following lot). Four used examples in this shade recorded. Ex Purves, Perry. Illustrated Kellow page115

    Serrated 18-19: 2d grey-lilac, SG 59 (Sc 45A), unused pair, left unit slightly soiled, from the block of six, the source of the only recorded unused examples, believed to have been submitted to the Post Office by Samuel Calvert as a sample of this perforation method.
