    8d Orange Wmk single-lined '8', SG 112, on 1868 (30 Mar) envelope (repaired tear) to Cevio, Switzerland with 1/- Blue on blue, fair framed 'INSUFFICIENTLY PAID' (very scarce) with manuscript '30' (due), and diamond 'GB/1F62c' in red. About 12 covers are recorded

    8d Orange Wmk single-lined '8', SG 112, with Adapted 6d on 1866 (6 Feb) registered cover Melbourne to Broadford, red 'REGISTERED' within oval and framed 'TOO LATE', portion of cover missing on reverse. Believed to be only a dozen 8d covers and this is the only example paying the double Inland Letter rate + 6d registration

'8' and curved '16/CENTS' handstamp in red, arrival datestamp 'BOSTON AM PKT/26/ AP/5, cover tears not detracting from lovely appearance. A superb franking paying the 1/4d ½oz rate + 6d Late Fee

Rare and attractive franking
