1901 photographic print (111 x 81mm) taken from Capt. F.R. Barton's glass negative of his photograph of a Lakatoi and Hanuabada Village that was used as the basis for the 1901 British New Guinea issue, minor toning on reverse. From the E.C. Harris archive which reached the market in 2012. A wonderful 'first page' for any Papua collection

1936 Coronation of King Edward VIII photographic essay (83 x 73mm, affixed to board 153 x 129mm), reverse endorsed '8/FM(anley)/1/12/36', this design subsequently being adopted for the George VI Coronation issue. Areas of toning on both front and back of board, but photograph unaffected, a wonderful essay
1937 Coronation of George VI 2d Die Proof in Scarlet (issued colour) on highly surfaced thin card (65 x 745mm) with colourless embossed '2853' instrument number at upper left, endorsed 'B' and 'No 19/FM(anley)/22/2/37'. Affixed to badly toned backing card which has stained the reverse of the proof, but the face is virtually unaffected. From the E.C. Harris Archive
