    1852-57 Handmade wove paper Imperf 3d Brown-red Beaver, SG 8, four good to large margins, target cancellation. Cat £250

     

    Lot 871
    Estimate: $700 Realised Price : $650

    1928-29 KGV 1c Orange, 2c Green and 5c Violet, Imperf tête-bêche horizontal pairs from uncut booklet sheets (see note below SG 287). Fine and scarce. Cat £900

    1951 $1 Fisherman, SG 433, upper left 'C.B.N.Co/No.1' Imprint block of four, hinged in selvedge, stamps unmounted. Cat £180+

    Estimate: $50

    Postal History: 1876 (20 Dec) part registered front to Toronto bearing strips o three of the 1c and 2c Small Queens and 2c Registered stamp (defective). The stamps all mss cancelled 'MR' and the Registered stamp with mss 'Harrys Harbour/December 20th/MR'. Creased, torn and toned, still an unusual manuscript cancel and apparent use of Canadian stamps in Newfoundland
