    AUSTRALIAN COMMONWEALTH, QUEEN ELIZABETH II ISSUES

    Lot 398
    Estimate: $200 Realised Price : $150

    1953 Produce Food mint accumulation with panes 3d and 3½d panes of 50 (both with toning), and range of multiples with 3d (93, incl six blocks of 9, and block of 6 punctured 'G/NSW'), and 3½d (96 incl six blocks of 9 and block of 6 punctured 'G/NSW'), and including a number of the listed varieties. Some toning but generally very fine and largely MUH (3d 143M, 3½d 146M)

    1953 Produce Food 3d and 3½d se-tenant strips of 3 presentation 'die proofs' in issued colours (actually imperforate stamps) in sunken mounts, with Note Printing cachets on reverse endorsed '6/23-1-53' (presented to Sir Daryl Lindsay of the Stamp Advisory Committee). Eight pairs of die proofs were prepared, one pair of which is in the Royal Philatelic Collection. A few tone spots on 3d Beef, otherwise fresh and superb and a rarely offered set. BW 287/8/9DP(1) and 290/1/2/DP(1), cat AU$18000 (2)
