Lot 749		Estimate: $100 1918 unframed 'HOCHKIRCH/MR 7/18/VICTORIA' cds on 1d Red Star envelope (Hochkirch was renamed Tarrington on 1/3/1918). Unique, the only example recorded after the name change. During world War I many Germanic place names were anglicised or otherwise altered. PO 21/1/1864; renamed Tarrington PO 1/3/1918
