    Australian Imperial Expeditionary Force rare privately produced (by Lassetier Print) Letter Card, faults from rough opening, endorsed 'No stamps available' and with handdrawn greetings motif internally, handstamped 'Passed' applied upon arrival in Melbourne

    1915 (26 Aug) OAS postcard from Gallipoli to Denmark cancelled by 3 SP 15 '1ST AUST. INF. BDE/FIELD P.O.' cds, with two different framed censor cachets in violet. Wonderful item from this WWI battlefield

    1917 (16 Dec) OAS cover to 'Lieut W.P. Heslop' from his brother, cancelled with Field P.O. 'D.C.1.' cds of 1st Australian Infantry Division, at Messine Flanders. [Besides being a noted stamp collector and doctor, Heslop was an original R.A.A.F. member. In 1916, flying over Point Cook, Dr Heslop was dropping bricks onto targets due to shortage of practice bombs]

    1940 (1 Oct) airmail cover Queensland to England bearing 5d pair + 4d + ½d pair + 3d AIF tied by cds's of Pinnacle, censor tape at left tied by diamond '1' handstamp, reverse with Mackay Patriotic Funds 1d 'HELP TO LICK HITLER' label, surface scuff. Unusual
