    1869 2d Rose [size b] with embossing (private type) on the remaining piece of flap with blue printed '...uth../Ballarat' (no such user recorded), used registered to Branxholm in 1882 uprated with 1880-84 2d brown (3) tied by separate barred '5', Registered Ballarat cds at left.Minor perf tones, opening faults, still most attractive

    1880 2d Rose oval [size d] (225x95mm) and 1885 'STAMP DUTY' 2d blue-violet used from Kilmore to the same addressee in Scotland in 1895 (note no 2d long envelopes issued after 1886) uprated with ½d pink, later taxed with hexagonal '25c' and UK '5D/F.B.' (Stieg B3f,4e cat US$325, HG B2a,3d), a little discolouration, minor creasing in latter. Very scarce (2)
