    1859 (17 Nov) entire letter (filing crease) to London bearing 'Emblems' perf 1d + rouletted 2d + 'Queen-on-Throne' rouletted 6d tied by BN '2' of Geelong, endorsed at top 'Per Benares/Via Marseilles', handstamped 'M' in red. Attractive tri-colour ¼oz rate franking

Manuscript "1 def/1 fine}2" and "T2d to pay", with poor 'T in oval' struck twice, paid by 2d Pale Blue and Brown-Lake SG D3, cancelled by early use of boxed 'L.C.2 JL 31/91'. An attractive early postage due cover
