    2d Lilac-mauve Half-length, First State of Die (just touched at lower right), used on 1850 (4 Apr) outer addressed to Melbourne and tied by manuscript pen line, believed to have been applied at Fyansford. Five covers bearing this stamp are recorded. With 2006 RPSV Certificate

    1d Half-length Campbell & Fergusson Printings from Stones 4 and 5 in Pink or Rose showing Squeezed or Creased Transfer Varieties, comprising vertical pair [5/11], horizontal pairs [2-3] and [15-16], and single [4]. Some faults but rare varieties of which only 2 to 6 of each have been recorded (7)

    1854 6d Lilac and Green 'TOO LATE' corner copy with huge margins, cancelled Barred Numeral '3' of Castlemaine. A remarkable stamp and one of the finest used examples known

    1854 Woodblocks 2/- Dull Bluish-green on Pale Yellow horizontal pair with clear margins but with vertical and horizontal creases, scarce in multiples. SG 35, cat £380+

    1860-66 6d Orange Beaded Oval used on 1860 (25 Oct) cover from Melbourne to Hong Kong tied by Barred numeral '1', endorsed 'pr "Behar" via Ceylon', and with Hong Kong arrival backstamp (DE 11 60). Light horizontal filing fold, small stain at top right on reverse, and small repaired tear at top, but of very fine appearance. A very rare stamp on cover, with perhaps only seven or eight known, this being one of the finest, with the added attraction of the despatch date representing the day on which the stamp was first delivered into stock, and thus this cover is the first day of use

One strip with three units thinned, both strips with slight toning in selvedge at right edge, otherwise fine with most units MUH. BW V52z/za (2004), cat AU$780+
