    1858-1911 range of covers/pieces 1858 inwards London Launceston via Marseilles, 1859 cover with 4d Chalon and 1882 front with 2d with \'TOO LATE\' in black, 1903 \'LATE LETTER\', 1908 PPC Zeehan to Hobart mss. \'Not Known\', few deficiently paid covers, front with \'INSUFFICIENTLY/STAMPED\', 1899 GB to Burnie \'ADVERTISED/ BUT UNCLAIMED\', also 1903 piece \'DETAINED FOR/FUMIGATION.\' and 2d strip with \'REFUSED\' struck twice (16 items)

    1870 and 1871 two entire Letter Bills intended for Green Ponds handstamp 'MISSENT-TO/HOBART TOWN' in red and black respectively. The only other known examples are fragments, making this the only known complete 'pair'. Ex McNamee and Reid. [Previously sold in our October 2004 where the pair realised AU$1550+}

    1892 (12 Mar) 1d Postal Card used Hobart to New Norfolk but returned showing previously unrecorded boxed cachet in pink (similar #156) numbered '1' to '15' with 'NOT KNOWN.' at top, 'LETTER CARRIERS NUMBERS.' and 'INITIALS OF LETTER CARRIERS, HOBART' at sides. Ex Groom. [Previously sold in our October 1989 sale where it realised AU$462]

    1904 (8 Dec) advertising cover for 'J.J. Wheeler & Son,/Wine Merchants,.../Hairdressers and Tobacconists', registered from East Seymour (Vic) to Hobart per the 'Loongana', sealed with tape at top and showing four strikes of rare 'RECEIVED TORN' (#S49, late date listed 20/8/04). Ex Groom
