    1858 (16th Nov) entire letter from Port Arthur to Newtown, Hobart from the convict John Lester to the Governor of Tasmania appealing for a reduction of his sentence, franked with 6d tied by barred numeral '61' at Hobart, fine strike of the rare 'PRISONER'S LETTER/ (crown)/PORT ARTHUR', additionally handstamped 'C.G.O./DEC/1858/RECEIVED'.
