    1860-72 Watermark Double-lined Numerals Perf 12 1d Orange-red (left marginal), 2d Greenish-blue Plate II (both part OG) and 5d Dull Green (no gum), some perf faults but a scarce trio. SG 131, 134, 141, cat £770

    1860-72 Diadems Perf 12 1d Orange-red and 1d Scarlet tied by ray type '36' numerals on 1861 (9 Mar) envelope from Braidwood to Sydney, showing despatch and arrival datestamps on reverse. Fine, and an unusual combination of two 1d printings

    1860-72 Diadems 2d Pale Blue Plate I Perf 12 strip of 3 from base of sheet imperforate at base plus pair in deeper shade used on 1860 (14 Feb) cover to Exeter, tied by Sydney duplexes and paying the 10d via Marseilles rate, with Exeter backstamp (AP 5 60). Fine and used on the first day of use of perforated stamps, a very rare and important cover

    1860-72 Watermark Double-lined Numerals Perf 12 2d Plate II group of three covers, comprising 1860 (20 Feb) entire Grafton ('90' ray type numeral) to Sydney, 1861 (21 Jan) entire Sydney to Casino with two singles in differing shades, and 1861 (4 Feb) envelope Sydney to Liverpool Plains (Goonoo Goonoo backstamp). Generally fine (3)

    1860-72 Watermark Double-lined Numerals Perf 12 Plate II 2d Prussian Blue pair [55-56], [56] showing 'Retouch to Frame Line Above 'O PEN', variety stamp with 5mm tear at top, short perfs at left on [55]. SG 136b, cat £425

    1860-72 Watermark Double-lined Numerals Perf 12 6d Violet on covers to England, comprising 1861 (20 Jun) envelope (missing flap) from Singleton to Kingsbridge; 1861 (21 Oct) cover from Wollongong to Southwell; and 1862 (22 Jan) cover from Sydney (cancelled '2' Rideout duplex) to Kidderminster. Small cover faults but generally fine (3 covers)

    1860-72 Diadems Perf 13, a small mint selection, comprising 3d Blue-green (no gum), 3d Yellow-green, 6d Reddish-purple (no gum), 6d Purple, 6d Violet, 8d Red-orange, 8d Bright Yellow, 1/- Rose-carmine, 1/- Carmine (no gum and thinned), 1/- Crimson-lake. Some with typical brown gum, one or two small faults but generally very good for these. SG cat £3025 (10)

    1860-72 Diadems Perf 13 5d, 6d, 8d, 1/-, also 1861 5/- Coin overprinted diagonal SPECIMEN (McCredie Type 2), and De La Rue 1863-69 1d and 2d and 1867 4d overprinted diagonal SPECIMEN (McCredie Type 1), largely no gum and a few with degrees of toning on reverse, but a scarce group. Also 1d wrapper cut-out with Type 2 overprint diagonal inverted (9)

    1860-72 Watermark Double-lined Numerals Perf 13 3d (2, shades), 6d (2, shades), 8d, 1/- (3, shades) overprinted diagonal SPECIMEN McCredie Type 1 (3d) or 2, one 3d no gum, others part OG and generally fine apart from some discoloured gum. A scarce group (8)

    1860-72 Watermark Double-lined Numerals Perf 13 6d, 8d (2) and 1/- overprinted diagonal SPECIMEN (McCredie Type 2), both 8d part OG (toned), 6d and 1/- no gum. Also 5d Diadem Wmk Crown over NSW (II) optd 'specimen' (McCredie Type 11), fine (5)

    1860-72 Watermark Double-lined Numerals Perf 13 6d Purple Emergency Printing on Wmk Double-lined '5', centred lower right with part OG, a few blunt perfs. SG 165a Cat £650

    1860-72 Diadems Watermark Double-lined Numerals Perf 13 6d Purple Emergency Printing Wmk '12', part OG (typically toned), vertical crease not visible from face, otherwise very fresh appearance. SG 165b, cat £750

    Estimate: $5,000

    1860-72 Watermark Double-lined Numerals Perf 13 1/- Carmine marginal block of four from the lower left corner of sheet with burelage in left margin. Large part OG, perforations at base reinforced and a diagonal crease at lower left affecting the third unit. Nevertheless an impressive multiple and possibly unique from this position. Ex Frazer
