Lot 58		Estimate: $125 Realised Price : $190 c.1871 No Wmk (6d) Registered imperf reprint optd Type 3, in Carmine and Blue, and Orange and blue shades, no gum (2) This first reprint of the (6d) Registered stamp was probably made in 1871, with perhaps two sheets (1200 stamps) printed in each shade. The Type 3 ‘SPECIMEN’ overprint is found only on this stamp

Mostly large part o.g., one 8d thinned (13) This overprint was applied in 1892 to existing original remainder stocks to identify the stamps as obsolete issues. Only the Registered stamp was a true reprint
