    1865 (25 Sep) cover Melbourne to U.S.A. bearing 6d black (2), framed 'INSUFFICIENTLY PAID/VIA THE/UNITED KINGDOM' applied in red, 'NEW YORK SHIP LETTER/JAN/24/4' arrival datestamp, small portion of upper left corner missing, still scarce

    1871 (2 Jan) entire letter to London endorsed 'Via Brindisi' bearing 1d and 6d pair tied by Melbourne duplex, London arrival, minor faults, although perhaps the most attractive example of the short-lived 1/1d rate via this route. Only six examples of this rate recorded

    1879 (14 Apr) slightly stained cover to Locarno bearing ½d Red, 1d Green and 6d Blue shades (2) tied by indistinct barred numeral, Hepburn datestamp at left with day slug inserted in manuscript, '1½' in red crayon, London Paid transit cds in red, backstamps of Daylesford, and three Swiss towns

    1950-60s registered standard-sized covers/stationery with different registration labels (from mostly different Post Offices), Abbotsford-Yarraville, many scarcer postmarks, appears mostly average commercial quality (235). Good basis for expansion
