    Lot 114
    Estimate: $500 Realised Price : $1,350

1858 Emblems Printings by F.W. Robinson 4d Pale Dull rose Imperforate on Horizontal Laid Paper cancelled Barred Numeral '1'. This stamp is unlisted by SG, although the same stamp rouletted is listed as No. 71a. Kellow in 'The Stamps of Victoria' records that several examples have been recorded imperforate, but such stamps need to be differentiated from later perforated printings with trimmed margins. This stamp has the characteristics of the early Robinson printings, and has three large margins (just touched at left), suggesting it is a genuine imperforate stamp, with Peter Holcombe Certificate agreeing with this opinion. A very rare stamp
