    1876 1/- De La Rue design Imperforate Plate Proof in Green on Wmk Crown over NSW (I) paper block of 24 comprising the bottom two rows of the sheet on gummed paper showing Plate No. '1' and Current No. '7' endorsed in bottom margin 'De La Rue's Proof Forwarded to Treasury 19 Jany 1876' and with reference no. 'B76.555.' in red ink at bottom left; and vertical block of 20 (2 x 10) from right side of sheet on ungummed paper showing Plate No. '1' at top and Current No. '7' at base, endorsed in right margin 'G.P.O. Proof Forwarded to Treasury 19/1/76'. The De La Rue block with repaired tear in lower margin and a few tone spots, however these are the key inscription pieces from these well-known proofs showing the difference in quality between London and local printing

    1886-94 Proof impression of NSW (21mm x 7mm) wmk sideways Sheet of 50 (10 x 5) on bluish gray ungummed paper with impressions in selvedges of \'NEW SOUTH WALES\' at top and bottom, and \'STAMP DUTY\' at sides. Folded through centre and third row

    1d + 1d Lilac Centennial doubleton stamped-to-order envelope, reverse with advertisement for John Robertson & Son Fine Old Scotch Whisky, posthumously used from Sydney to Newcastle in 1930. Small fault in lower left corner, otherwise fine
